ABLE Library

The ABLE Library is a free talking book and braille library service that serves patrons who are blind and visually impaired. They also serve patrons who have a physical or reading disability that stops them from being able to read standard print. They are part of the Vermont Department of Libraries, and serve the entire state of Vermont.

Winter Activity Kits

Thanks to a generous grant from RiseVT, we are able to offer these amazing kits for our patrons to check out.

Activity Blocks

Writing Boxes

Whether your little one already loves to write, draw or doodle or you have a kiddo who seems apprehensive about writing, these are the perfect kits for you to check out!  Each kit has different types of paper to write on and different kids of writing utensils.  For kiddos aged 0-5 we have both general writing boxes and themes, like “Brown Bear, Brown Bear” and “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom”.  For kiddos 6 years and older, we have general writing boxes and themes like cooking, comics or letter writing.  These amazing kits were created from a grant received from Northwestern Counseling & Support Services.

Group Use Forms

If your group would like to use the library after hours, please fill out our Group Use Request Form.

All after hours, non-library sponsored events need to be approved by the trustees.

Approval may take up to 4 weeks as trustee meetings are once a month on first Tuesdays.
