Group Use Forms

If your group would like to use the library after hours, please fill out our Group Use Request Form.

All after hours, non-library sponsored events need to be approved by the trustees.

Approval may take up to 4 weeks as trustee meetings are once a month on first Thursdays.

ABLE Library

The ABLE Library is a free talking book and braille library service that serves patrons who are blind and visually impaired. They also serve patrons who have a physical or reading disability that stops them from being able to read standard print. They are part of the Vermont Department of Libraries, and serve the entire state of Vermont.  Ask the librarian how you may be able to access their services.

Continuing Education through Universal Class-Online classes  For patrons who use Universal Class, please be aware that the state subscription will be ending on Aug. 31, 2024, at which point you will no longer be able to use the site. We recommend switching to our new resource, Gale Presents: Udemy.

Udemy is an online learning platform with 20,000 video courses on a huge range of topics: business, coding, music, cooking, and more! It offers well-structured video courses and assignments that you can complete at your own pace and in whatever order you want. Writing Boxes

Whether your little one already loves to write, draw or doodle or you have a kiddo who seems apprehensive about writing, these are the perfect kits for you to check out!  Each kit has different types of paper to write on and different kids of writing utensils.  For kiddos aged 0-5 we have both general writing boxes and themes, like “Brown Bear, Brown Bear” and “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom”.  For kiddos 6 years and older, we have general writing boxes and themes like cooking, comics or letter writing.  These amazing kits were created from a grant received from Northwestern Counseling & Support Services.

WEATHER & LAKE CHAMPLAIN DATA

National Weather Service Forecast Office in Burlington, Vermont shows the North Hero Weather Forecast and latest Lake Champlain conditions.

USGS Lake Champlain Water Level Gage – Rouses Point, NY shares more information on the lake level and a live camera view of lake conditions provided by the United States Geological Survey.  The water level gage is located on Montgomery Street in Rouses Point, NY.

Lake Monster shows current Lake Champlain temperatures, levels, and local weather forecasts.
